TEA is essentially witness theatre that validates the life stories of immigrants and refugees who have lived through peril, adversity, and oppression and through theatre helps them master their experience and inspire the community. It is designed to promote empathy and welcome in the community to which the refugee and immigrant have come.
TEA will dramatize stories of DACA dreamers, detainees, deportees, asylum applicants, families qualifying for hardship waivers, U Visa and T Visa applicants.
